A Special Message From Pastor Bob

The Bible tells us that fear is a “spirit.” This spirit has a mind that thinks and a voice that speaks, and if you allow it to—it will control you. Today many are battling a “spirit of fear,” over the present pandemic.  Fear is always overcome by faith, not faith itself, but in the promise of the Way Maker – Jesus our deliver. Make this your prayer: “Lord, Your Word says when I seek Your face, You’ll hear me and deliver me from all my fears (See Ps 34:4). So, I cast down every anxious thought that rises up against what I know about You and Your power (See 2 Co 10:5). I stand on the promise that You’ll never leave nor forsake me (See Heb 13:5). I rest in the truth that nothing is too hard for You (See Jer 32:17). I resist the spirit of fear, and command it to flee in Jesus’ name (See Jas 4:7). By faith I decree that Your peace, which passes human understanding, will guard my heart and mind (See Php 4:7). Therefore, I will not let my heart be troubled or afraid (See Jn 14:27). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.”

Now instead of focusing on the problem – this pandemic, focus on the Problem-Solver- Jesus!  Isaiah said, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (Isa 26:3 NLT). Note the word “fixed.” As you go through this day with your mind “fixed” on God, you’ll have “perfect and constant peace”

We must learn to take God at His Word. So, when you feel the fear in worry and anxiety and the stress, the Word will come up in you like a defense. Don't let worry make you go into panic.  Jesus said “I am with you in your home, I am where you are, I know your address, I know all about you.  I have not forgotten about you I am with you no matter what comes our way. Our first reaction should be faith that overcomes the fear.

We have the protection of Psalms 91

1He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." 3Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge-- 10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation." Psalm 91:1-16 (NIV)  Feed your faith

1 But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. 3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;….. Isaiah 43:1-3 (NIV)

I am reminded that we are precious in His sight and that we are loved with an everlasting love. He gave His life for each of us and the person that he gave for my life was Jesus Christ. He carried my sorrow, he carried my sickness, he carried my death in his body on the cross

Choose faith over fear, choose faith over panic and over being petrified.  Compare this virus to the healing, miraculous. powerful God that we serve; we will survive. We are more than conquerors through Christ. No weapon formed against us will prosper. Remember that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

May the Lord bless you and keep you.   Pastor Bob. Love you all!
